The Fourth Shirtless King and Reviews? Seriously!

Santa knew what to bring this year. I found business cards and thank you notes featuring a certain shirtless Viking in my stocking, an eReader ornament featuring my cover, and a gorgeous crystal (Lucite?) cube with the cover of First to Burn. It looks at home with the crystal Nativity scene on the buffet.

Since Christmas, I’ve been in the whirlwind mix of making craft kits with Miss Bossy, going to see Oliver! the Musical with the family, trying to promote First to Burn, and working on Book #3. Crazy, seriously! That’s a Miss Bossy word that I can’t get out of my head, which is better than the trumpet tune to Good King Wenceslas that Mr. Big Boy puts in my head every single day.

But in the middle of the chaos, a wonderful friend left a gift on my porch. The perfect beer for my immortal Viking hero.

And then my writer friend Christine let me know that Dear Author, a very popular romance novel review site, had tweeted about reviewing First to Burn:

dearauthor     @dearauthor  Rec’d a great query today. “Every time I listen to a SBDA podcast, I think Jane would like First to Burn.” via Anna Richland. Sold.

All I could think was “Seriously? Seriously!” Yes, it was true. Santa Jane came on December 27 to the Richland house.

Now if only the magic keyboard fairies show up and sprinkle 25,000 more words (about 100 pages) on my hard drive, I will never ask for another present.

Seriously.
